>>56383222>>56383272Seeds and frames determine what you find when a random encounter begins.
Your seed is a value that you are given when you start up the game, and will determine what frames you get. In RSFRLG, it's a new value every time you boot up the game. In RS with a dead battery and Emerald, this value is fixed. The frame determines the pokemon's species, gender, IVs, and shiny value. The game runs at 60fps, which means every second there's 60 different pokemon you can catch.
So, what does this all mean considering you're playing on Emerald where your seed is fixed? First, if you've gone through 72,000 encounters like you claimed, then there's a chance that you may have hit the same frame multiple times, especially early in your session right after booting up the game. Second, you can use programs that can help you hit specific frames for guaranteed perfect IVs and/shinies if you can successfully obtain a legitimate shiny without cheating, glitching, or trading first. This first shiny is needed to find your secret ID, a value that is used to find frames among other things. The easiest way to find a legitimate shiny in Emerald is to start a new game, save before choosing your starter, make a few attempts with different timings for different frames, and occasionally start a new file again for new frames until you finally find that shiny starter. Then, if you used it instead of boxing it, item dupe the EV reducing berries in the Battle Tower and reset your EVs so you can figure out its IVs. Third, and most relevant to you, you can use the previously mentioned battle video trick to advance through hundreds of thousands of frames and "save" your frame progress. No shinies after a few days of hunting? Go make a new video at the end of the session and watch the video at the start of your next session. Finally, when shiny hunting fixed encounters (weather Trio, Eon duo, Deoxys, Mew, Lugia, Ho-Oh), run away, leave the room, and come back.
