This man wrote the entire script of LOGH and handed it to his best friend to direct it after leaving in the first episode to do other things; as well as making the famous Momo which inspired many other magical girl shows. For someone of that caliber, having been ignored due to the marketing department’s obsession with Ash is what made him spiral down to depression and ultimately die of a brain hemorrhage on the subway; which no one here cared about and I vividly remember people here making fun of him and saying good riddance.
He had the gall to make people think about life and all his ideas were infinitely better than whatever TPC shat out. He’s basically Anno if he never believed in himself and worked for a company, slaving his life away. The people on this site won’t be able to make 1% of an impact like he did on the world and on a franchise, and that’s a fact

Then there are those that hate him because they dislike his bleaker ideas because they want Pokemon to be a perfect world they can fantasize about.He literally said in his blog he ended up hating misty because all the shippers kept asking him when will they end up together. He never hated misty, he hated people who were obsessed with shipping and not focused on real life relationships.
