>>57546202>The only reason they did an anime in the first place was toTo promote merchandise and all the games. Many video game did it but only Pokemon anime managed to last this long. GSC was released during 1999 so obviously the animator didn't had anything from Johto to promote on 1997 except for Ho-oh and Togepi. All soon as GSC released on 1999, Pokemon anime started Johto arc. Considering how popular Pokemon gotten, I say that the anime succed with Ash.
Obviously Liko and Roy won't going to enter new Lumoise city until PLZ-A officially release just like OS Trio didn't even hard of Johto until 1999 when GSC official released.
