BW series was a commercial success and had better rating. Its main flaw was how Ash was disrespected in the entire series to promote xenophobia though a blonde racist Paul clone.

You can't seems to understand that a new protagonist will go back to having same baggage as Ash since he/she doesn't have Ash's progression.
