So many memorable and funny characters that left a strong impact. DP was a pretty cheaply made series with lots of boring filler, but they absolutely killed it with the character writing.

The scalping situation is just depressing, last week, I saw a pair of dudes buy a 108 single booster packs in one purchase at one of those pokemon machines my store has.

That same machine also got restocked in the past coupe of days and is almost sold out

I have seen on a few occasions of kids being disappointed when they go to the machine in the store and see it out of stock

I'm not exactly sure why these investor scalping bros lost their fucking minds ever since surging sparks released.

I know scalping has been a thing since Logan Paul and these Influencers got a choke hold of it during covid, but I swear before Prismatic and to a lesser extent sparks, it was still easy to just casually look at an abundance of cards on the shelves in the store and buy them.

Writers still had a choice of returning BW Ash back to a competent trainer and replace Trip with an experienced rival but they refuse to do that and kept shoving their stupid idea when it was obvious from 40 episodes that fans doesn't want a bootleg Paul clone and Ash behaving like a newbie.

It was obvious from 10 episode that Liko, Roy and entire RVT doesn't have the ability to draw in audience. Instead of sticking to your idealistic view & stand on their own feet when they doesn't had any feet to stand on, they should have been practical and use old characters as fan service to draw in audience.

In my fanfic idea, Ash would be just a supporting character. The strongest champion that RVT and The Explorers meets in various region. Ash proves his status by defeating Black Rayquaza with Iron Valiant or some other regular pokemon but fails to catch it due to intervene from Roy which is why they doesn't get along and often fight all the time like Ash and Morrison. Liko and Dot has problems dealing with Ash's extroverted personality due to both of them being introverted.

Ash and Sango will meet when they fight over limited edition sweet bun that Team Rocket Trio were selling. Obviously TRio tries to use this opportunity to steal Ash's Pikachu but gets blast off by Ash and Sango's join attack. Sango develop a complicated friendship with Ash which mess with her loyalty to the Explorer. Amethio outright challenges Ash just like Paul challenge Cynthia.

Ash will have no connection to Rakua and simply meet the characters in various places just like he encountered Cynthia in the past. Until various circumstances lead Ash to join RVT for the final battle just like Cynthia did during any villain arc.

Nah, DP Ash was very clever and played around mechanics like entry hazards, abilities like Static and Blaze, and created his own techniques like Counter Shield. He did screw up training Torterra, but that was an intentional point of his arc, showing that his way of doing things wasn't perfect, and he should've listened to Paul on certain things, the same way Paul should've listened to Ash for other things. Only issue there was not paying off his lesson by giving Torterra a win (after Ash fixed his training in late DP). Ah well, it's not perfect.

Nah. The point is that Ash could do better and isn't. It's a scathing rebuke of where he is as a trainer, leaning overwhelming speed and strength, when the higher-level mechanic strats like he had back in DP are right there. You'll see in the next Ash chapter as he reckons with this and realizes he needs to get back to that sort of thinking before their rematch
