Game Freak approved the project and assigned a budget to it. For some bonus lore, a divine treasure is an item tied to each of the 4 gods in Furia. Each clan possesses a treasure corresponding to their god. They take the form of a dragon's claw clutching a pearl, but they seem broken. Their most basic property is just how much power is in them. Pokemon and certain humans can make use of that power, but since the treasures are tied to their Lord's consciousness it can be a bit temperamental. Being able to use them at all is typically kind of a miracle.

I’m sick of hearing the excuse-“the data structure was completely different, there was no way to transfer mons from Gen 1-2 to 3 because of hardware.” While Pokémon’s initial popular was fading, it was still huge and I’m sure Nintendo and Gamefreak could’ve worked together on some transfer device. If some yahoo can create a transfer device for five bucks then I’m sure both companies can mass produce the parts at an even cheaper price due to economies of scale. Instead we got remakes, which were pretty cash grabby if we’re being honest.

I enjoyed Ruby and Sapphire, but they’ve always felt incomplete. As a guy who was there in 2003, yes it was outside factors and increased competition that killed Pokemania, but Ruby and Sapphire just weren’t good enough to spark new interest in Pokémon at the time. I played Ruby once and went back to playing Gold after the initial playthough…and I just kept replaying Gold until Diamond and Pearl.

The remake will again be handled by ILCA and will look basically the same as Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl.
The remake will be called Pokemon Deep Black/Vast White and will contain both black/white 1 and 2.
The ending of the presents will show off the next series of legends games, this one taking place in the Unova region.

I might be misremembering but I don’t think the Manaphy egg is in ranger 1 as you just needed a code from the game to get it in Diamond and Pearl. In ranger 2 there’s a Manaphy event in the game but Almia looks like a part of Japan that’s just south of Hokkaido which is what Sinnoh is based on. Regardless I’m pretty sure that Manaphy’s egg washed up on shore from elsewhere.

Just started playing pearl, and damn I don't remember this game being this slow paced. Took me over an hour to reach Jubilife. It's not even just the slow speed, the actually pacing of the story is much slower, than, say, in gen 3.

Gen 3/4er reporting in. I befgan my journey with Pokemon Pearl back in 2007 and played Pokemon Black and White and also their sequel versions both on release.

Later Zoomers and anyone from Gen Alpha could never play these games in any form as there has been no Unova-Chad content since 2012 while Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh can be played in SOME FORMAT, Kalos is a maybe at this point but Unova is a mythical region inaccessible to the younger people of today.

P.S I am currently enjoying Pokemon Black 2 Nuzlocke content on the side while exercising.

People underestimate how shit Ruby and Sapphire are and how much Emerald improves over them
Platinum probably improves as much as Emerald, but Diamond and Pearl aren't as bad as Ruby and Sapphire
Crystal barely changes anything
Yellow also barely changes anything but all its changes just make the game worse
