Based off of damselflies (mainly the Ebony Jewelwing) with a jewelry theme. The patterns on its wings are based off of minerals commonly used in jewelry such as gold, silver, ruby, diamond, emerald, pearl, and sapphire. Typing is Bug/Fairy and can learn moves such as Dazzling Gleam, Power Gem, Flash Cannon, Flash, Signal Beam, Air Slash, etc.
Base Stats: 60/55/80/105/120/85

Funnily enough they toned the saturation way down from the anime. They do it for every generation but it’s especially noticeable during the Diamond and Pearl movies

That's not even the earliest instance of Game Freak leaving out Pokémon you'd expect to be somewhere in the game. Tangela was completely absent from Diamond and Pearl. All other crossgen lines had some way of getting the evolution by catching one of the Pokémon in the game, except Tangela. They literally added a new evolution for a Pokémon that didn't even exist in fucking Sinnoh. Thank god for Platinum.

Fire Red/Leafgreen or Let's go Pikachu/Eevee > Heartgold/Soulsilver > Emerald or Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire > Platinum or Brilliant Diamond Shining Pearl > Black or White > Black or White 2 (Whichever version you played the first of) > X or Y > Ultra Sun or Ultra Moon (you can skip Sun/Moon, USUM are just enhanced versions of SM) > Sword or Shield > Scarlet or Violet if you want to experience all of the main series games.

If you want the best of the franchise:
Firered/Leafgreeen > Heartgold/Soulsilver > Emerald > Platinum, and don't play anything else. Nothing after HGSS is really worth it.

It's the mid 2000's and you're one of the designers of Diamond/Pearl. The team was going to give Cynthia Garchomp as her ace, but the decision came from the higher ups that Garchomp has to be used by Bertha since she uses ground types. You have to pick a different 'mon to be Cynthia's ace. Doesn't necessarily have to be something new to Gen IV so long as it's not a pokemon already strongly associated with a previous champion or gym leader. Lucario is the easy answer but since Maylene already uses him too, Cynthia has to have something else as her ace

Sure, Platinum may have lost 10 million sales from Diamond and Pearl, but most of the work was done for them when they were making Platinum, it and every other third version was nowhere near the same investment as PLA which means that only doing the same as the third versions and sequels isn't enough.

Reminds me these haters who complain about the dubsubs at Pokemon Diamond/Pearl anime (at least for the episodes that haven't been translated by [PM] while none of them makes actual fansub for said episodes. Sure, dubsubs are annoying but still better than nothing. Also they changed the characters/Pokemon names into the Japanese ones, which makes it more watchable.

The organizations themselves might not be. For all we know, clans Pearl and Diamond are still around. Ginkgo is probably btfo though, for obvious reasons.
