Just make it so Dia and Platinum visit the new Ramanas park with expositions about legendary pokemon from the whole country (add Regieleki and Regidraco in the regis area for gen 8 reference) and when they visit the area for the three dragons turns out they found two weird ancient tiles that transports them to the past, there they adopt fake names to not disturb history (maybe a reference to "Brilliant" and "Shining"?) and experience the game's history but dividing themselves between calming noble pokemon and helping the rides while also gathering all plates.
They also side with Adaman and Irida and both Sinnohs go origin forme, but they calm them and force Giratina and Volo to reveal themselves. Kamado, Adaman, Irida and Cogita with the four genies assist Dia and Platinum and they defeat Volo who had the spooky plate and was after the tiles that sent the kids to the past, revealed to be the blank and pixie plates.
With all plates they summon Arceus, who thanks them and keeps the blank and pixie ones for himself as memento of the kids (explaining why they didn't appear in the HGSS arc, Arceus already had them) and sends them back to the present where the tiles have disappeared and Pearl is revealed to have fought Archer and his Mega Houndoom after he attacked Ramanas park looking for clues on how to get his hands back on the origin trio. Apparently Archer found the Legends plate in
Kitakami, next to Sinjoh and wanted to take control of Arceus and use his ultimate power, but was finally imprisoned after his defeat. The kids leave the Legends plate in the park and come back home, talking about the rumours of Paldea's terastal phenomenon being spoted on Kitakami and Kalos' mega evolution being used by Archer. Perin is briefly seen in the final chapter, too, all connecting to SV and Z-A.
