>>58697246Now that's some autistic dedication. Of course a lot of Spe logic doesn't translate that well to the games. Have you tried runs with the other dexholder teams?
I always liked how Green (m)'s team was always changing in his every appearance, since he's a serious type gym leader whose whole thing is training up new Pokemon. Yellow's team of shitmons made sense because she wasn't even a trainer at first, being a pacifist. Ruby's team of girlymons is hyper specialized for looking pretty in contests, while Sapphire's team of giant hulking monsters fit her goal of being tough enough to take on all the gyms. Diamond had a team of tanks and Pearl had a team of speedsters. And so on.
Emerald's team was also symbolic of his seniors' teams, with his Snorlax/Sudowoodo/Mr Mime pairing up with the opposite gender ones that Red/Gold/Crystal had, probably setting up some gen 4 tie-in that never panned out (with Munchlax/Bonsly/Mime Jr eggs). It was all probably a way to symbolize the end of the 3rd gen while also connecting it to the upcoming 4th gen as the DP arc started rught afterwards.
