>>56656343Charizard/Boldore guy/pmdfag here, funny enough I had the polar opposite situation as you. A year before the events of Boldore, I was on the phone with a friend playing my copy of Pearl that I had maxed out the time on my trainer card. I decided to go PokeRadar chaining on the first route and the first Pokemon I chained was a Shinx. After the fade to black I got a shiny grass patch. A chain of 1, indicated on the Poketch touchscreen. I even recorded it on my 3DS, as well as the Boldore encounter. I named the Shinx Lucky, cause I thought it was at the time, even though I know now its statistically more common than full odds shinies.
Unfortunately... I had transfered the Luxray known as Lucky up to my copy of White, and one day the cartridge casing came apart and the game would not boot to menu on either of my DS's. The save file was corrupted. I held out hope for a very long time, but last week I checked one last time and got it to boot to the main menu and saw only the New Game option, finally getting closure that Lucky along with the other box and a half of shinies I had collected over the years had gone with the save data over a decade ago. I've stopped shiny hunting on hardware since then.
