>>57269370Right now the logical roadmap progression is to give us over a few major updates like 4 or 5 more sleep dex goals that work towards two new island unlocks (bug/dragon/poison and an endgame random island), 100% area bonus, a big enough cooking pot to cook anything every day, 1000 ingredient space, rank 100 with level 100, etc.
But they threw a curve ball with item bag space now going to 1000.
This "logical" roadmap is also artificially restricting because they can just continue to add Pokémon. They clearly take time to implement, art takes time with that many still frames of layered animation to make as opposed to throwing in the same 3DS models from X/Y again.
The game conceptually can continue forever, but you need goals, new Pokémon, new strength or score targets, Sleep Dex and Pokédex completion etc.
That's why they've teased a "new game mode" that we still don't know anything about, but I'm hoping it's something like a "Poké Pelago" where your boxed Pokémon can do something instead of being unable to pitch in, whilst only 5 Pokémon a night gain any Sleep EXP.
Maybe they'll grow nature mints at a farm in this new game mode, something that's been frequently requested as a way to fix Pokémon with a good subskill spread but a bad nature roll. If you get like 2 or 3 random nature mints per week, and relies on sleep data to grow them, that fits into the game perfectly and doesn't break progression or the need to keep rolling for subskills.
