I’ve been involved in some capacity with the new online Pokémon game, Pokémon Clash. The best way to describe it would be a hero shooter in the vein of Overwatch, Marvel Rivals, TF2. 6v6 online team battles with some single player cpu options. Brawler, Defender, and Supporter classes. Initial roster of 18 Pokémon
>(Brawlers: Pikachu, Blaziken, Lucario, Pawniard, Hakamo-o, Kleavor)
>(Defenders: Venusaur, Snorlax, Forretress, Kirlia, Cryogonal, Ogerpon)
>(Supporters: Chansey, Togetic, Shaymin, Musharna, Aromatisse, Maushold)
More Pokémon will be added regularly, Tyranitar and Galvantula are named. Maps will be reimaginings of locations from across the series, cycling between 2 available maps per week. Sylph Co, Viridian Forest, Trick House, Spear Pillar, Jubilife City, Chargestone Cave, Route 14 (Kalos), Hano Grand Resort, Isle of Armor, and Area Zero. New maps will be added less frequently than new Pokémon. The game has dedicated servers and support across countless regions and languages, it’s expected to be massive. Free to play, console only, all characters are unlocked and available from the get go. Can’t buy cosmetics directly with money, but you can buy in-game currency if you want to spend it on special costumes. The game’s not overwhelmingly stylized, but it does look more cartoony than the average 3D Pokémon outing, kind of like Let’s Go almost. Most of this info will be revealed during Pokémon Day this Thursday. The trailer starts off looking like some kind of Mad Max post apocalypse with broken Poké Balls and ominous music before glitching away into the actual cartoony game. I’m attaching a screenshot from the trailer to this post so that the rest of my claims can be verified afterwards. I will not be returning, and this will be my only post here. Thanks.
