Unless they start diving for full-on OS style vibes like they did with the special episode I don't think there is a realistic chance that any romance is attempted. And you shouldnt want it to, they'll botch it if t hey write it the way they've been writing everything else
And can you really blame people for being angry that a storyline they've had set up for 3 years just vanished without a trace?
