The main issue is TPCi who fucked up the figma line at taking control of the QC, which ended with shit issues with Marnie and Raihan figma.
GSC probably had enough of it and didnt seek to continue the deal.

I actually agree with this even though it also has a lot of shit designs. Unlike Paldea where almost everything is mediocre, Galar is a dex of high highs and low lows IMO

Although I have no idea what steel types fit Palentines since all the other ones that would were already taken.Maybe Tinkatuff? but it feels weird to release Tinkaton's prevos so soon. Original color Magearna? Though would they do nother Magearna so soon after SS Gladion

Though strangely, I don't think Raihan got one when he got his New Years lt, so I guess they have another alt planned for him at some point

Remember Ash's battle against the Pokemon Hunter at the end of MPM? It was short yet 10 times better than the entire Master Tournament. Even Leon and Raihan's battle on Twilight Wing lasted a minute but it was the better full battle than anything we have seen on Journeys.

I think this is the approach Pokemon anime should take. Ash wins short battle that is one/two minutes long but has the absolute best animation, sakuga, writing and strategies without involvement of any gimmicks. That's better than a poorly written poorly animated battle that last an entire episode.

Fireren also took the same approach. The anime should have Long battles when they has the budget and manpower to properly animates with nonstop Sakuga.

This concept was realized in Raihan who despite being a dragon gym leader, specializes in Weather. If Flint was competently designed, and if GF weren't retarded, he'd have synergy on his team with some Chlorophyll mons and pack answers to common fire weaknesses, something that can reasonably be done even with DP having the worst regional dex in the series. Unfortunately GF can't make games and this whole thing was thrown out the window come Pt where he has a completely forgettable fire team.

Anyone even pretending to defend this is just being contrarian. You can't even defend the concept.

Misty probably sold out because she was popular, but Leon probably sold out because they underestimated how popular he was. Red selling out at this point is reasonable for an iconic character, but Cynthia probably has a slightly overestimated print run. If I had to pick a shelf warming it would be Raihan at a likely low print run because all he has are fujos, and maybe Arven solely because they printed too much of him because he's a recent character (but he also has broad enough appeal that he'll probably sell well enough without necessarily selling out).

Drayden adopted Iris, so she's not naturally from the clan, that makes Raihan a possible oddity of the Dragon Trainers. Zinnia and the Draconids are exclusively from Hoenn. Drasna's family was originally from Sinnoh/Hisui. Lance/Clair are seemingly native to Blackthorne, and as another anon stated, you have to work in the actual timeline with these character ages, for instance 14-24 years have passed between Gen 1 and Gen 9, so a lot has changed over time.

- SS Giovanni and Guzzlord start the year pretty strong (Last year Geeta was the first unit starting at 8). NY Raihan and Poppy start at similar spot than NY Wallace and Clair (5 and 3). Blossom on the other hand humiliated Katherine (Started at 2) and Kali (searched in the archive and it seems no one used her for the 01/02/2023 Chart). With so little time Mix Lucas have a correct first week. DC Hop? I had to manually had him in the Tier List because the one I use didn't added him, proof he his a nobody (and Lodge Lana too).
