Just finished the Unova League--I made it to the first League episode and just decided to do them all in one go tonight. I'm assuming the Plasma/N stuff comes next. Thoughts/questions before I move on:
>Did the writers forget that Ash has an aura connection w/ Riolu/Lucario?
>Did the writers also just forget that Trip had any other Pokémon besides his starter? Or did they want to make it up to fans pissed at a noobie trainer beating Pikachu in episode 1 that they let Ash shitcan him in a qualifier? In fact, did they realize too late that they forgot to develop his party into a full team of 6 and concluded, "Fuck it! Most new players solo the games with their starters, so let's just do that!"
>Like with AG, Ash's girl companion ended greater development than him by the time of her climactic episode (but, in AG with May, Ash was at least able to make up for that lack of Hoenn development thanks to the Kanto Battle Frontier arc)
>Fuck Ash doing his "special training" off-screen
>Fuck Ritchie 2.0 and his ass-pull incomplete team
>Riolu/Lucario and every future one in this series needs to be shot
>However, light props for showing Snivy surviving an otherwise OHKO
>Also, now that I think about it, did they fucking have Pikachu learn Electro Ball all those episodes back just to get the Aura Sphere/Electro Ball matchup ~100 episodes later?
Please tell me the "You Challenge the Isshu League Too!" PWT download tournament got a translated patch somewhere to download and inject, because I kinda want to stomp Ritchie 2.0 now, along with the Eevee faggot.
But, other than this, BW has been a pretty solid series so far. I'd rank it below Sinnoh and Hoenn/Frontier, but probably above Kanto and the Orange Islands. Counting Leagues, I'd put Johto over it but omitting Leagues Unova might edge it out.
Should I look forward to the Plasma/N/Colress stuff?
