>>51350563 Thing is, Misty never got an argument or an interpersonal crisis episode that could make her strenghten her bonds with the crew.
Gotta go Fagmoron mode for this, but romcoms where MC and FMC start with a tense and conflictive relationship have a crisis arc or episode where usually MC can't take more shit from the FMC anymore and calls out her bullshit, almost always overdoing it and getting bitchslapped because he hurts her feelings, only to solve their shit and come out as way closer than before. Misty never had that type of dilemma where her personality gets harshly questioned, and can figure why they never did that. Because, compared with the fights with May/Dawn/Iris, it would cross shipping territory.
Picrel is an example of what i am trying to expose.
Not like you can't write an interpersonal crisis without shipping, with May, Dawn and Iris, they did that shit. But with Misty, it's quite a case due to being a tsun in OS and an interpersonal drama between her and Ash would go off the rails. It would have been more dramatic.
And if i omitted the argument between Ash and Serena after the battle with Wulfric, it's because it wasn't an interpersonal crisis situation per se,but Serena being frustrated at Ash being both humiliated by Sawyer and Wulfric and feeling like shit for pressuring Grenigger.
