>>53618629Having just watched XY, there are quite a few CotD episodes that are fun.
"Coming Back Into the Cold" is about Amaura, and the anime does a decent job depicting them as cute and worth saving.
"A Frenzied Factory Fiasco" is also a fun one, with an extended sequence between Pikachu and Meowth chasing each other Tom and Jerry style.
"The Tiny Caretaker" is more of a Pokemon of the Day rather than character-driven, but like, most of the Bonnie-centric otD episodes like this are good.
"A Fork in the Road! A Party of the Ways" is a notorious one, Jessie-centric.
"A Keeper for Keeps" is another Bonnie-Clement centered one I really liked.
"Battling at Full Volume" is the one where Serena dresses up like Ash because he gets sick. I thought it was kind of dumb, but if you like Serena, you'll like this one.
If you count robots, "A Watershed Moment" is also fantastic.
I'm discounting a lot of shitty filler in here, by the way, so I take your point. But sometimes they dredge up some gold.
