>>50716897Probably the way they view Colo/similar and treat it as non-canon to the source material, given how it diverged from how the games and guide explained it on its launch, or they accept it's how the anime decided to portray the capture mechanics (IIRC, I saw a bit where Shudo said the beam shit worked better for telly).
Regardless, the manga follows what Game Freak set up so it's really not that big of a deal-breaker to them, when they're so blasé about the western reaction to the knowledge pokémon shrink.
Another distinction between the fanbases, they don't need to cry an try and explain why shit happens as it does, like the burgerchildren NEED to believe pokémon are beams/energy/data as the alternative is something they never considered (despite interacting enough with the brand to get addicted to it to the point the come here in their adult lives).
