>>47524283First, it's not literature, it's anime; second, it wasn't well written at all (Shudo himself admitted to abuse drugs in order to write ffs); and third it doesn't represent jack about Japan. A real literature masterpiece would be something like a Sherlock Holmes, or an Odyssey, or a Les Miserables. Hell, I wonder if such thing even exists in Japanese literature to begin with.
>>47524305>Koe no Katachi? Tenki no Ko?Well if they are, then they clearly haven't been remembered, which is the worst thing that can happen to a good story, being forgotten. When I think about masterpieces, I think in stuff like Cowboy Bebop, stories that actually make people reflect on its narrative quality and messages, like Watchmen. But in general, Japan's entertainment industry sucks ass when it comes to narrative. It doesn't matter if something like Vivy Fluorite Eye's Song has a better story than the average, people would rather consume garbage works like Darling in the Franxx and SAO, and that's what will be remembered in the end, garbage.
>>47524310Those are still more countries than Japan, and to top it all off, TPCi can't do shit without TPC. So yeah, as much as it hurts you, you stupid weeb, Journeys is the bigger name and most people will refer to the series by such.
