>>53672839Pokephilia is a perversion of the series. The series conceptualizes the relationship between humans and Pokémon as that of humans and real life critters in the real world, this is what Takeshi Shudo wrote, what Tajiri drew on when developing Pokémon and what The Pokémon Company has stated in product manuals. It's an idealized fantastical version of our own world, not some groomer tier fantasies that people here conceive. Verily indeed this is why I have to keep pointing out the obvious in regards to how the series chooses to portray Pokémon and have the player interact with them.
Because of this and the space Pokémon occupy it will never be right. It is perversion, and an ugly one at that given the innocence of Pokémon. This is why things like the Harkness test and other inane things of that nature mean very little, the dynamic and the relationship Pokémon occupy means it's always going to be wrong and awful. Love Pokémon as one does a pet, not as a person.
