Had the timeline been a bit different, I could easily see Kieran, the original friendless loner variation we see hiding behind Carmine, getting caught up in their plans for a better world. They'd give him a purpose, a place to just be, and people around his age.
I wonder if he'd still rock the Applin in Sinnoh?
