They're ugly and plagued with that friendship mechanic designed for literal gay retards. Also, when examining these games' value, you must factor in the context in which they were released. DP are the games that introduced the Sinnoh region and the physical/special split. BDSP is literally a poor copy-paste of an outdated pair of games even in their own Generation; no matter how you spin it they are objectively bad, offensively lazy attempts at stealing your money and FagFreak and co. are the only video game company that could get away with this much disregard for its customers as cattle.

this is it. Sinnoh is Game Freak's third Favorite region, (Hoenn second, no points for guessing number1). The Sinnoh starters are also universally beloved and can never be split up. The Johto starters only ever existed to be laughed at to make other starters look better. Anyone who cared about any the Johto trio long outgrew the main series, so them beig split up isn't a issue.

The Arceus you get is self-described as "a fraction" of Arceus, so there can be multiple incarnations. The one you get in BDSP's Hall of Origin is just another fraction, independent of the one granted to the PLA protagonist.
