Sylveon is actually Poison type and its ability is Toxic Heart which has a chance of inflicting the new status "Obsession" on others when attacked.
Obsession is basically Attract which works on all genders(genderless includes) as well as Toxic.
It basically makes the pokemon love Sylveon to "Death".
