I've already mentioned that i and y are interchangeable, but ph and v are not, is that so hard to understand?
In fact, Rhydon just stregnthens my argument and point further:
Rhydon = Rhidon = Rhino
The Y is obviously used for stylistic effect (a la 3edgy5me) and the variation in spelling does not effect its meaning at all.
Sylveon = silveon (with the same logic)
Sylv = silv = silva
Now, ph and v are NOT the same, they are not interchangeable. Look up minimal pairs on google for more info.
