>>57912355I don’t really care for Pokémon as much as I used to, but I do resent how they, along with Nintendo, have both passively and directly taken action to prevent or disincentivize people from creating new monster-collecting games through their actions. Aside from that, I expect very little from them, not just because of their general performance, but also because Nintendo seems to have openly gone all-in on monetization at all costs, so I doubt those decisions will lead to Pokémon games being any better than they already are/have been.
>>57912389The biggest issue I have in that regard is that they pretty much threw all quality to the curb around gen 7, and with that, started catering way more towards degenerates than they ever have before. I can’t think of a single origin point of degenerates outside specific anthropomorphic obsessions that created more degenerates in my age group than Pokémon Sun and Moon, and I’m almost certain it was intentional, given the character designs, their functionality in the story and shit like “Press A to pound!”
>>57912397Those were some of the features I liked the most about Pokémon games. Sure, they were a pain to get around years after newer generations came out, but that’s more a problem cause by Game Freak/TPC/Nintendo restricting people from being able to obtain old Pokémon in newer games. It’s always gotta be gated behind some really tedious mechanic or an in-person/paid event.
