It never had any to begin with
the entire game was radio silent for a year, then dropped barely any information. The information they DID drop seemed hand-crafted to kill any hype by removing everything appealing about PLA: they got rid of the past setting, the unique catching mechanics, the riding pokemon, and the unique graphical style in favor of shitty ATB and plastic mobile graphics
add to that a starter trio thats representation of each generation was heavily slanted towards one of the least-popular trios in the series (including removing its most popular member for an incredibly unpopular starter from a different generation), a bunch of fake leaks making the game seem even more disappointing than it already looked, and continued radio silence for several months after getting almost no information

Given that Z-A is also releasing before a much more important and interesting event (the franchise’s 30th anniversary and, very likely, the introduction of the first double-digit generation) after coming off of a series of completely mediocre and disappointing games, and it’s a miracle anyone cares about this game at all
