The Royal Ruby Pearl Red car was one of my favorite Kusaka notes, the sheer autism. Another fun one in hindsight was at the end of volume 15 where the guy literally admits Ruby and Sapphire will
fall in love, spoiling his whole story in advance. But since he drops the comment so early on in RS, nobody noticed, since at the time Ruby and Sapphire looked more likely to kill each other than
fuck. Then there's the note where Kusaka admitted the theme with the GSC guys are Crystal being a role model and Gold/Silver being delinquents, yeah there'd been years of fan highschool AUs at that point which long found which student stereotype everyone falls into, but it still reframed how I some characters. Meanwhile Yamamoto was sometimes just shitposting in the printed commentary section and I'd take it seriously ("the swimmer guy background character is the most important character in RS"). Though these authors' notes were always run through TPC's filters, even back when there was more fan interaction, and I think some were deliberately changed in the official English translations.
Kusaka might not have actually bought that car.You can just post the extra Sapphire comics, maybe start with the birthday ones since they actually focus on her a bit more
