>>57612116The cards are printed on the thinnest fucking cardstock imaginable, for one thing. Seriously, go grab any recent card and compare the feel to a Wizards card, and even one from like BW, it's night and day in terms of weight and stiffness.
TPCi also doesn't give a fuck in terms of cut and print quality so the cards tend to look cheap and rough.
Funny enough, if you go back to Media factory era non-glossy Japanese cards, the stock they were printed on is also lesser than that of WOTC(but not nearly as horrible as modern English), yet the print quality was superb always.
Japanese cards after TPC took over were on nicer stock, but the foils were shitty and curled up same as the Pokemon USA versions... Though still noticably thinner than Wizards'.
