Name literally anything notable about Trevor outside of the fact that he will always lose your Pokedex contests even when you actively try to skip encounters. Tierno was also worthless outside of the anime.

Tierno's design is just god awful like i don't care if you wanna make a fat rival that dances that's fine but dont give him fucking stupid hair and a shirt with a pokemon on it he doesn't even fucking use.
Shauna was fun and cute, I think she just needs to be stronger and more threatening. The juxtaposition of her cuteness with power would have been fun. Trevor was ok as a friend/companion since his goal was different, but since he wanted to complete the pokedex he should have had 6 pokemon on him at all ties maybe? But your main rival needed a legit power boost to be an actual threat. Power boosting all of them, and having you encounter and battle them more often would have made the game LEAGUES better for me.

Other than that though I really enjoy Kalos as a region, the size, the fashion, the design, the people, the pokemon options. I think my only other complaint is about the random desert area, and how Snowbelle City isn't up some mountains, or have some gradual snow buildup along the way, or surrounded by more snowy areas, it's just BOOM snow town.

Tierno is not a good example because as much as people love to hate on that fight its a part of two battles in a row without a chance to heal. So basically you fight 6 mons, almost like a champ fight but its vs less important NPCs since they're just friends.

It's glorified rock paper scissors, albeit under a different moniker. They already made SE attacks highlighted, short of auto-selecting attacks for you, the mechanics are as simple as it gets. To simplify trainer battles, cut down on the number of pokemon they have and the number of moves they know.

This is kinda how I feel. Gen 5 was undeniably the beginning of the bad times, but it was not too bad yet, and BW2 undeniably has a lot of content and lots of places to explore.
XY was the point of no return. No trainer having more than 4 mons, complete lack of postgame besides the Looker quest that resolves nothing, and rivals shoving items down your throat. I don't even mind a friendly rival, Barry is my favorite, but the XY trio just talk about how strong you are. They never feel competitive. Like, who gives a shit about Tierno dancing? Fuck off.
