>>46977920>Popplio did it with a regular Aqua JetPopplio needed Lana to keep Wishiwashi hooked to the fishing rod so it couldn’t even attack back while it barraged Wishiwashi with Bubblebeam. And even then it needed Ash and Pikachu to help keep Alomomola off of it or it would’ve gotten taken out.
>it was extremely one-sided because Lana actually knows how to battleSo why are you making it a positive that Primarina beat Tsareena without taking a hit when Tsareena and it’s trainer didn’t know what they were doing?
> back in the Kanto two-parter she locked Psyduck's Water Gun inside Popplio's bubblePopplio did that on its own, Lana didn’t even know Popplio could do that, and just commanded it to launch the balloon like it was an attack.
> I don't think Mallow or Lillie wouldThey definitely would. Especially Lillie who came up with a counter strategy for her brother.
>We didn't see the battle but yes the outcome, and btw since Mallow is a shitter we can assume Lana hard-carried that fight, basically a 3v1Or we can assume the battle wasn’t shown so we don’t know what happened but just that they managed to survive. For all we know it could be just like with Kiawe and Lillie, where the KOs were just working off of other battles.
> And? Having a particular battle style doesn't makes her automatically better. It doesn’t but it does show the level of competency compared to most Alolan trainers that don’t know what strategy is. Tierno also incorporates dancing with his battle style, and it showed how capable he was because his Squirtle one sidedly took down a Conkeldurr. Shota’s battle style is studying his opponent, analyzing their own battle styles, and coming up with hard counters specifically for those situations. Depending on the opponent, the battle can be one sided like with Mega Sceptile VS Raichu, or balanced like with Aegislash VS Pikachu. All the Kalos trainers, Serena included were far more advanced than the classmates could ever hope to be
