I don't really mind Tierno, but I make a special effort to humiliate Serena whenever I play a gen 6 game. I make sure to beat her without losing a single pokemon, without mega evolving or using items, just to rub it in her face that I will always be the better trainer, and she can never be my equal no matter how hard she tries.

As many people criticize X and Y for poor Teams for Trainers (especially for Elite Four, bad rematches and only few Trainers using Mega Pokemon) I decided to create a Team for each important Kalos Trainer.
I made the Flare Admins as type specialists for the missing Types (Dark, Ground, Flying, Ghost, Poison and Normal) and added a Mega for each Trainer.
Since it's Generation 6 and each Full Team has 6 Pokemon I decided to do, as much as possible, the teams to have Pokemon from each Region (with the Pokemon besides Mega Blaziken and Mega Latios) being part of Kalos Dex.
I also created some Teams for the Battle Chatelaine based on a Mega Starter (sadily had to use Mega Venusaur for Ramos as it's the only Mega Grass Pokemon besides Abomasnow which is the only Ice Mega in XY) and gave them either one of the Legendary Birds (which are in Kalos Dex) or Dragonite (which is also Part Flying and has quite similar BST). Since all other Kalos are already used I gave each 2 Kanto Pokemon.
I also created Teams for the Rivals with Tierno still being around Pokemon with Dance moves (at least one dance move per Pokemon), made Trevor a smart trainer resolving around Trick Room (maybe also make battles with him Inverse Battles since it was an awesome idea hardly used) and Shaina being a Dog Lover. Emma in her Essentia Form would be a cat lover which replaced her Espurr with Mega Mewtwo for the Battle (seems like a really nice Boss Battle, Mewtwo form differs per Battle) while Sycamore as a Mega evolution specialist uses a Mega Latios (or Latias depending on the Version) which is in the Game code but not in the Kalos dex and Pokemon which got Megas in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire (as a nice Easter Egg). The Team with Calem is, let's say, the Player Character Team. I would say all of these characters could've been battle at the Battle Chateau.

Yes, I agree. I was too angry looking at the Elite Four teams and Lysandre team that I skipped over the last Gym Leader teams completely. In fact, I am completely against any Gym Leader using 5 Pokémon (except maybe the last one, if they use at least 1 Shitmon/NFE). In conclusion, OP should kill herself.

I assume you're referring to the reusage in which case yeah, OP should've gone with different Fire-Types for the teams for the Team Flare Scientists and dropped Talonflame from Lysandre since I don't think it fits his character.

Also something you didn't bring up is 5 Pokemon by the 5th Gym, I think if you're going to include 5 Pokemon in a Gym it should only be for the late game Gyms, not the mid game ones especially since they decided not to give Tierno & Trevor full teams for some reason.

Trevor would pull a bit of an N by having his team (bar his ace, Beedrill) change between battles although unlike N Trevor's final team would be a culmination of the Pokemon he'd used prior. Tierno's team is Pokemon with Dancing Moves, I think that's what most people go with anyhow and Ampharos because I like to think that in spite of being a big fat oaf, Tierno's actually really skilled at dancing and elegance like some unassuming fashion-meister or some shit.

Shauna's team is just standard Grass-Fire-Water core, I gave her Talonflame cause it seemed appropriate she'd probably catch a Route 1 Pokemon, Delcatty is carry over from her XY Team obviously. The monkey member would be an earlier pick up for her than the more elegant Grass-Fire-Water member and Kangaskhan seemed like a fitting Pokemon for Shauna to have given she's the heart of the quintet even though it gives her two Normal-Types. Serena/Calem I just went with Pokemon that felt interesting, Gallade I figured would be an interesting choice even though it overlaps with Chesnaught and Delphox's typings plus it acts as a bit of a contrast to Diantha since this rival is the one with the highest battle aspirations.

I'm not sure what you mean by this, the rivals in Gen VI are noticeably absent from the games, you have a battle against Serena/Calem before the 3rd, 4th and after the 5th gyms and there's the boss rush against Shauna, Tierno & Trevor on Route 19 but that's the only things I can think of as to what you're referring to. Team Flare doesn't even have any boss fights until after the 4th Gym.

The majority of Unova and Alola’s characters were memorable. Compare that to any Kalos gym leader, Team Flare, Trevor, or Tierno.

Gen 5’s story did something unique, with N’s legendary and the time-skipping. Not to mention the ending twist with the castle.

Some things were removed, but the features in their place were actually good. Not to mention the colossal amount of new mons somewhat making up for it.

Gen 5 had a ton of postgame content, especially in BW2. This has to be bait.
