Guys, could Tokio have been Ash?
And if not can we make it work as a retcon somehow and get them to do it? Any ideas?
We can't allow this episode to remain Ash-less. Think of the long-term consequences.

Who’s excited to see her(?) in upcoming episodes? I’m optimistic that they might even give her some depth. Look at her there. Tokio and Bayleef are looking at something intently, but she’s facing away, seemingly lost in thought, with her face in the shadows. Real mysterious looking.

It's still untrue to say that Tokio's episode was the only episode of the anime without Ash. It would have been more accurate to say "of the main anime" or "non-special" since the specials are still part of the anime.
