That idea has never been explored beyond that one instance of Tokio almost losing and Goh having to protect them both, and even then he still almost lost without Tokio’s help.
What happens when the Project Mew team is put in an opportunity when they have to rely on Goh? How will Goh handle such a desperate situation he’s never been put in? In order to have a good team, you have to have good team members, and if Goh only serves as the heavyweight of the group, it does nothing for his character at all.
