>>58795846I was having fun, at first, but shit got old real fast. The battle system is new, but it takes maybe an hour to adjust then it's no longer remarkable. Then, there's the grinding. The 1000 battles to get the tasks completed for a shiny charm was bad enough, but the DLC dex was fucking cancerous to complete. I've put 135 hours into the damn thing, and I was only at 61 pre-DLC.
I did 100% the game, but that's due to obsessive autistic behavior, not fondness.
>It feels like the game only exists to glaze Mega EvolutionsBecause it does, OP. Barely any mons that don't get megas are worth keeping around in the long term, and they're borderline useless in the rogue mega fights, which you have to do too fucking many of just to finish the story.
They must have clicked that the rogue megas were tedious to some degree, given that you can just buy a fuckton of the stones, only to double down on the bullshit in the DLC.
This is, hands down, the most hollow experience I've had playing a Pokémon game. Gen VIII was a hard low point to surpass, but by God, they did it with this. I genuinely was more enthralled playing the Kieran schizo melodrama expansions than I was with ZA.
I was not anticipating the fucking field trip DLCs being the highlight of the whole gen, but here I am, holding up a slightly firmer turd as the high point of the last Gen on Switch 1. Because of some fucked up autistic curse, I can never ever truly quit this shit, so I will be back for Gen 10, regardless of how shit it ends up being, but I can safely say, that ZA is the first Pokémon game I've played that I will never play through a second time.
I'm a eurofag, so happy new year, roll on 27 February so we can all leave this shitheap of a game behind us.
