>>58066549Taking pokemon to sell in their gambling den to make money makes sense, and would still be a good team motive if brought back instead of the power creep they've been doing.
Aqua Magma not realizing that too much water or no water is bad till its too late is dumb.
Galactic was good, but the power creep of rewriting reality and the introduction of God as a pokemon was too high. This also starts the trend of leader double crossing the team where they don't know the real plan
Plasma was lame. PETA cult says having pokemon is wrong so they can have all the pokemon and nobody can stop them.
Neo Plasma didn't make narrative sense. They just betray their morals of the first game of wanting to liberate pokemon to wanting their boss to rule the world. This works for Neo Rocket because they were gangsters trying to rebuild their crime empire. This is animal activists betraying what they believe in to support the leaders plan that betrayed them in the last game.
Flare was the worst team in the series. The end game of destroying the region to rebuild it from scratch just felt like a mini Cyrus' plan. Again why the early power creep was bad.
Skull was actually fun. They didn't feel like a threat but that fits a region that didn't even have proper gyms. Its like a side trip and not meant to be a real game or adventure. Really though the team doesn't matter much. Their leader is just a pawn for lusamine.
Rainbow Rocket was cartoonish and I think the only way they could get people to buy the game they already own again was to try a nostalgia cash in.
Team Yell I don't even consider them an evil team, they're more just a trainer class who supports your real rival.
Team Star not a real evil team just a school club on a power trip because teachers don't do their jobs. I don't care about what these nerds are doing when the main plot involves time ripping apart.
