I use care in a loose term— I’m not expecting your most treasured mons, but some people have Pokemon rotting they just don’t care for like they used to. Some people have traded up old mons from ruby to current games but don’t particularly care either way. My favourite mon I received from someone here is called Banchou, he was a ribbonless pancham from unova. He now has all available ribbons, and is star of my team alongside a collisuem bred Eevee. It’s stupid, I know, but I get joy from imagining the adventures these mons had before I came into the picture.
I try and offer equal value in return, I worked in a Game store in my younger years and have no life outside of Pokemon, so I have quite a few event mons and ‘special’ mons (birthday Pokemon from the Japanese Pokemon Center— which I can provide proof it’s me there collecting it, not just an ugly gen mon) that being said, I know a lot of people just gen mons these days, so perhaps my trading days are behind me. I’ve just been back into Pokemon more than ever due to injury, so have a lot of spare time. I’ve already ran through every single Pokemon in my home account to get them the champion ribbons in each game. I will just hop back in to get them item finder
