That causes a retroactive issue of also deleting a lot of the older shitmons from the franchise to hyper optimize dexes with boring safe picks like Kanto Starters, Pikachu, Eevee, Gardevoir, Lucario, Garchomp, etc. People who praise games like Hoenn or Unova will be even louder and more obnoxious due to the franchise sanding down its identity to the popmons over its massive variety, but also it means Game Freak can get lazier and shittier with new mons because only like 2 from the newer dexes will actually get to be in more games

Hisui is in the past and existed first before Alola and Unova timelinewise, ergo the Rowlet and Oshawott lines are originally from Hisui. Their Unovan and Alolan forms are the real regional variants of their Hisuian originals.

Battle Subway, Black Skyscraper/White Treehollow, Pokemon League Rematches, Musicals, PokeStar Studios, Royal Unova, Battle Institute, Funfest Missions, Join Avenue, Triple Battles, Rotation Battles, etc. And the cherry on top of the cake: the Pokemon World Tournament. The best Battle Facility (so much better than the Meme Frontier).

I think no game can compete content-wise. Not even Emerald or Platinum or HGSS.

Oh, and btw, I'm not even a Gen 5 fan. I dislike BW.

well sure, that's obviously not plastered from NYC, but they have that in there for lore reasons.
I don't mind that Unova went for a hybrid approach of mixing original fantasy stuff with a real world place, they kind of repeated this in Paldea with Area Zero, I think it's a cool way to spice things up.
