It was only during BDSP that I got the nuance that they were a bit more subtle than Team Aqua and Magma, and didn't run around doing evil shit, but instead put up a front of legitimacy.Galactic publically acts iirc as an energy producing company, and after you beat them (at least in Platinum), going back there has the ex-members say, "fuck it, I guess we can become the mask we were wearing and be a legit coporation now."
Team Galactic I find kind of interesting replaying BDSP, they are the most in between Team Rocket to Skull grunts possible. Not pathetic like Skull, but not basically the Yakuza where everyone in KANTOO looks aside.
They pretty much have an inflated opinion of themselves since Cyrus is a good motivational speaker, and the grunts frequently mention how all the pokemon they use were stolen/they got the shitty stolen ones for being low rank, or that they're going to be reprimanded for failure now.
Kind of feels bad to say, but Galactic does better what Team Flare was meant to be in gen6, which is a little sad. (Only gamewise, I don't mean XY&Z)
