I would love if they kept pumping a generation's main game with DLC. I do not think they are adding anything else large to the game however since the Expansion Pass + game is out.
I do however think that there might be a small free update in the future that adds in a bit more. There is no reason why they couldn't drip feed megas/XYZ legendaries in raids and in fact they have proven they can do it.

But what followed XYZ was Sun&Moon, not Journeys, how is this related?

(Side note - the frog was a designer shillmon to the point it was added to Smash during development even before XY release. Which makes the latter washing funnier)
