>>50856089>everyone loves xy Ash they don't, the face of the internet youtube, twitter, etc has a relatively small voice when it comes to the majority of the community. while I do think that xy Ash looks cool and has a pretty good design when it comes to how he is as a character it is the worst iteration of Ash's character in the series being so far from anything that we saw before. I think that the good animation and look of xy fools a lot of people into thinking that "because something looks good means it must be good"
another part of me thinks that because of how bad BW was that people were so desperate for something different and xy looking visually different people thought it was different but when looking further into you find out that xy had some of the worst story, characters, plot and over "pokemon feel" to it. it is just as bad as BW but in different ways and the rating of xyz reflects that, it truly was the dark age of pokemon
