I’m a SMbro from Day 1, I just want to say I never had an issue with change in tone and art. There were some missteps but this series was super comfy and kino. Unlike some XYfags I don’t see the league as “saving it” it was always fun and good. Right from when Litten was caught with Stoutland’s death, to Lana getting her Waterium, Pikachu kicking Mimikyu’s ass and learning Electro Web, Hapu was really fun, Lana and Misty’s friendship was great, the Dia episode, baby Kukui, the Battle Royale stuff, Nanu being a real Dark-type jerk and helping Lycanroc. This series was always kino, the league only enhanced that for.
What about you SMbros? Feel the same, different? I do admit I wish we come have gotten more battles, more Lillie focus (Lana is my fave; Kiawe is a bro), Guzma getting introduced earlier and just maybe some more focus for the rivals one-on-one with Ash but it was all good. Kukui ended up being really really good too.
