XYfags are pretty much amourfags. Ash winning the league is similar to Ash and Serena being canon. Now that SM Ash won it Aurelia is even more canon where it is confirmed endgame while amour is way below them.

SMfags are enjoying SM because it's a different show entirely from what we've been watching for twenty years. That doesn't make them cancerous, it just means they have different interests - though the ones trying to shill a 3v3 win and claim Zoaroark could beat Steven Stone are just fucking mouth breathers.

The other genfags aren't too bad outside of waifu wars, though there's not a lot going on up top for BWfags.
