>>51830725It's not that they're bad, they're just completely unnecessary to play with Platinum existing, because Platinum fixed basically every problem that Diamond and Pearl had. Same with Emerald in relation to Ruby and Sapphire and Crystal with Gold and Silver, the only way you'd play Diamond/Pearl over Platinum is if you specifically wanted to use one of the Pokemon that Platinum doesn't have natively on your team, like Skuntank.
Diamond and Pearl's only real "flaws" are minor niggles, like the surfing speed, the in battle dialogue automatically scrolling past the Pokemon name when asking you if you want to switch with the game still set to switch, the lack of Fire type Pokemon, etc.
