>>51001046You're not getting the nuance here. There is an overlap between Yajimafags and XYfags, but while virtually all Yajimafags are XYfags, not all XYfags are Yajimafags. XYfags may have liked XY for other reasons, not necessarily the animation. For example, they may have liked the writing, the characters, the shipping, etc. Many of them do not even care about Yajima specifically, just XY as a whole. I wouldn't even be surprised if a sizable proportion of XYfags don't even know who Yajima is. On the other hand, Yajimafags obsess over Yajima specifically. They also tend to be the ones who talk about animation the most. They also tend to be the most bitter of all the XYfags, perhaps only somewhat being matched by shippers.
Again, XYfags and Yajimafags overlap but they're not exactly the same. It may be better to think about Yajimafags as being a small but very vocal subset of XYfags.
