Admittedly, I do use twitter and I’ve been in this thread for years. Honestly its the best place to get a pulse on the wider community. The reddit is growing really fast, but isn’t quite there yet. And places like here and Scott’s favorite loitering corners(bulba/serbii) are essentially the internet equivalent of a bunch of hobos sitting around a fire.
At the end of the day, the fact remains that twitter has the most fans of the anime actively discussing it by far. Are they retarded 15 year olds? Yes. Are they the target audience and does it matter what they think at all? No. But if you want to get the general ACTUAL reception of the community to an episode or event, twitter is the place. Ironically I find the most reasoned discussion here, despite all the shitposting and derailments. However, an honorable mention does go to the r/pokemonanime discord server, its full of xyfags but most are willing to discuss the current series wholesale and admit xy’s faults. Scott joined last week and has done nothing but argue with epicocity in the debate channel for days on end lol
