>>53207593You're not listening to what I'm saying. Yes, Yajima did say he wanted it to be a kiss and it was clearly his original intent - but it had to be changed. He said as much. He wouldn't have said "that scene was supposed to be ambiguous" for no reason. The fact is I can't ignore he said that despite my own personal opinion because I would have to ignore the fact he said this sentence.
Ultimately, *in the actual final product that aired*, we did not see a kiss thanks to the restrictions. That is what Yajima is talking about. What we received instead was an off screen scene that could be filled in to be a multitude of things. If I was arguing about this with someone who said they had watched the series with no knowledge of staff interviews or fandom discussion, they could say they presumed something he suggested such as a confession happened instead. I have no solid recourse against this point because he literally said it's supposed to be ambiguous and we don't actually see it happen for ourselves. This is what I am saying and why it is valid to argue it on a technical level and it would be dishonest of me to pretend this isn't the case.
