Make of that what you will but the contrast always amuses me. XY is considered by some to be the pinnacle of the anime in the same way Tamers is for Digimon fans. Yet it was during it's era that the old Movie continuity died.
With Koko, as mentioned before, I believe Yajima and Pkmn Company made a huge mistake in branching to a entirely new story from a movie banking on nostalgia. What OG fan who came back for ICY would care about PokeTarzan, some mythical they don't care about and a bunch of OCs who are not Misty/Brock?
