Didn't Yajima and Tomiyasu go to their office directly to ask them stuff? Maybe they were more used to that or maybe they did but the anime changed things at last moment because they're going by reception according to Sugimori and it was a bet to gather more interest

They have those meetings to talk about something, Yajima literally went up to them to ask for a concept for Greninja and the relationship with his trainer while Shudo had Lugia which ended up getting used in the games. They would have mentioned getting ignored in the documents if that was the case.

Do you think they planed the whole series without deciding the director, script supervisor and Executive Director first? If Game-freak supposed to plan an entire series then don't you think OS would have been more accurate to the game? The early interview shows that its was Hidaka, Shudo and Yuyama that made key decision for Original series.

Table Mountain was on Faraway Island, and was an anime exclusive area where Goh encountered Mew and was shown the formation of the universe. I always thought that scene was a bit unnerving, but I'm wondering if the crystals that showed Goh the past will become relevant in HZ.

Rough translation but... What.
This is in one of the meetings GF had with the anime staff to discuss the Pokémon Horizons setting, around March of 2022 so the game was practically finished already. What shocks me is the name of the mountain that collapsed to create Area Zero. "Table Mountain" (テーブルマウンテン) is an anime-exclusive location that appeared during Project Mew, in Faraway Island. That's where there were also rocks that were supposedly crystallized memories of the universe, the ones that Goh saw.

Pretty much. If anything, given the iron grip Yuyama had on the anime, and how strong his veto power was on 99% of the rest of the production, the fact that Yajima's Serena stuff, including the kiss, all got approved by Yuyama is actually quite impressive. I just hope there's more cute Gamerena content forthcoming.

Because Yajima need Game-freak to give him a Pokémon. The anime never took any permission to do anything as long as it doesn't involve introducing their own pokemon or giving game position to somebody else.

Kunihiko Yuyama (executive director of the anime until SM) was the one pushing the idea that Ash needed to lose every league and get reset at the start of the next series.

Yajima and Tomiyasu were the ones who wanted Ash to grow, and Tomiyasu finally got what he wanted.

The staff agreed that there needs to be a balance between what Yuyama wants and what the fans want.

The line about "a few overly attached individuals" is a total mistrational of Japanese that simply says "harassed." The machine turned "to harass" into "to attach."

I honestly don't understand people flipping out about this. This isn't a new revelation. The fact that shitty people, lovers and haters of Serena, were posting death threats against multiple Pokémon accounts, including Yajima, before and after JN105 was acknowledged at the time. All this confirms is that they were aware of it. There were death threats during XY following the dance episode, and death threats after the Kalos League.
