Gonna be real with you, haven't played any Pokemon games since I went through Conquest a year ago. Never could get into romhacks or trying to do challenge playthroughs for some reason, even though I've wanted to.
Otherwise I've been playing a lot of backlogged titles on console, and starting to attack my handheld backlog again. Boktai, Mega Man Xtreme, Shantae Advance, and a lot more. Probably White 2 eventually, never did play that one originally. Though the itch to go back to PLA is strong at this time or give in to my desires and play Time Stranger instead

Mints are available from the start, once you get out of the tutorial (the moment you advance the plot to unlock side quests) you can buy them in markets. Customization as in clothes and hair? same deal but you have the menu itself unlocked since the start.

1. Are the boss fights as difficult as they were in PLA? I'm going to be honest, I had a lot of trouble beating Arceus in the final boss fight in PLA. I only managed to beat Arceus because the "progress" of your battles was saved after reaching a certain point. Is it the same here in Z-A when fighting against the Rogue Mega Evolutions, etc? How difficult are they to beat for someone who isn't good at action games and do you keep your progress?

2. I heard that there is a postgame tournament which is basically an infinite Z-A Royale. Is this Z-A Royale held against Pokemon of the same level like the a classic Battle Tower where it's level 50 Pokemon vs level 50 Pokemon?

These two things (as well as whatever the DLC might add) will decide whether I buy the game or not. Thanks in advance guys.

Chapter 2 of L&LS is going okay. How do you guys come up with ideas for chapters in advance anyways?
I personally just jot down a bunch of one-two sentence ideas that I'd expand into chapters later, and try to order them in a manner that seems chronological. I feel like this system is lacking though.

This is why I always preorder at physical locations. I don't trust mail carriers to deliver on time. I'm still gonna seethe when nips and aussies are playing a day in advance or when people get their digital releases right at midnight.

Colosseum is the holy grail of RNG manipulation, but Entei and Suicune are the easy ones, there's no noise in the rooms you battle them in, so you can reliably land on the frame you need via blink RNG and advance from there.

The real hard ones require battle blink or in extremely noisy areas like Pyrite Town.
