I was looking at the french tl of the Teal Mask dlc, and WHEW:

>French Kieran: "___ va m'accompagner à la fête des visages" (tl: more or less the same thing)
>French Carmine: "Oh, vraiment? C'est le grand amour entre vous deux, dis donc" (rough tl: "Really now? You guys sure are head over heels with eachother huh?)
>French Kieran: "N-n'importe quoi! Puis d'abord, qu'est-ce que tu fais la, TOI?" (tl: W-Whatever (or N-Nonsense!), anyway, What're YOU doin' here?"
Note that "grand amour" (literally great love) can be both romantic and platonic in meaning, so Carmine could also means "You guys sure are acting chummy with eachother"

It's like a whole new layer of subtext that was added
